“Had a fun bday time with the fam. Kids lived on that waterslide and we grilled lunch right on the boat. Already booked again for July.”

“Rented one for a girls day on Candlewood. Big group, zero complaints. The canopy saved us from the midday sun and the swim ladder made it easy to jump in and out all afternoon.”

Candlewood Lake is a treasure we all share. A few simple habits help keep the water pristine for generations to come.
Bring a trash bag on board and take all wrappers, bottles, and food waste back with you. Nothing belongs in the lake except you.
Avoid dropping anchor near fragile vegetation. Native plants filter runoff and provide habitat for fish — let them thrive.
Slow down in no-wake zones to reduce shoreline erosion and keep sediment from clouding the water your neighbors swim in.
Always wear a life jacket when swimming from the boat, and never dive headfirst in unfamiliar water. Keep an eye on swimmers and use the ladder to climb back aboard safely.
Small actions add up. When we all do our part, Candlewood stays the crystal-clear escape we love.
A well-set anchor means your boat stays put while you swim, grill, and relax. Here is how to do it right on Candlewood Lake.
Look for a sandy or muddy bottom free of rocks and thick weeds. Avoid areas near docks, swim zones, or channels where other boats pass.
Drop anchor upwind or up-current from where you want to end up. Let out about 5 to 7 times the depth in rope scope for a solid hold.
Once the anchor hits bottom, reverse slowly to let it dig in. Tug on the line to confirm it is holding before you kill the engine and enjoy.
Pull in the line as you slowly motor toward the anchor. Never yank from directly above — you will damage the bottom and might lose your gear.
Need a demo? Our staff is happy to walk you through it during your on-water orientation.
